Is there not a place for God in the state?
For most imbeciles the state can and must be separated from the Church, for Christ said: Render unto man what belongth to man to God what belongth to God.’ But, if we look well into the Gospel in any of its four books, then we can see the evidence that what Jesus Christ has proclaimed is and must be applicable to the state in all its affairs.
Whether in the political, social, economic or psychological realm of the affairs of the state the New testament addresses all humans and how a state should run its affairs, being a conglomeration of believers. There are enough verses in the New testament that deal with the communal affairs to establish, maintain and run a fully fledged state, big or small. The Vatican was in the Middles Ages and until modern times a state and still is a state of its own.
The whole domain of Europe was under the direct influence of the Papacy. Kings and Princes governing the states of Europe depended largely on the Vatican’s decisions throughout the middle ages. Atrocious major wars of religions, the Crusades and all the Inquisitions were ordained, commanded and run by the Papacy.
Kings and Princes of the epoch were called upon to wage war and they all needed consent of the Pope in their affairs. With the catastrophic advent of socialism disbelief in God and religion demolished the religious institutions but not religion itself in the hearts of believers. In China and North Korea and some other decadent satellites of Marxism surviving their last breath, still practice laic principles.
But here the historical opposition between belief and disbelief were brought to its culminating summit under socialism in the last century.
If religion as a belief system and a moral code is done away with then the sate is bereft of its most essential thing namely its spirit. If you ever visited the Ex. Soviet Union before, you have remarked zombies everywhere in the streets and shops. The soviets being bereft from their religion became the living dead.
This phenomenon still exist but there is return to religion and zombies are coming gradually to life. Go and visit China and see for yourself how Gog and Magog are real zombies now. Whether in big cities or in the suburbs you do not meet people but lifeless machines and robots void of soul and void of their ticking life. They live like animals, but animals are better for animals feel and think.
The Chinese do not feel nor think. They are robots in the hands of the state. But the Chinese constitution is a code of morality where good is prescribed and evil is to be shun, in principle. However, if most of the 1.3 billions of Chinese do not believe in God nor religion (being the opium of the people) they nevertheless have their code of morality to do good and shun evil Otherwise, they cannot live together in such a harmony, not forgetting the strong aegis of the state constantly over their heads.
If statesmen, or rather dictators, in every society today do not acknowledge religion as a major driving and influencing forces in politics and the social structure then their states suffer instability and tumult.
A trivial announcement of a crazy vicar in the United States to burn the Qur’an for example, prompts the president of the United States to intervene and call for calm. The slightest caricature of Muhammad in European secondary magazines, or in the United States, then the whole Islamic world goes in roar.
States come to the rescue of such an intentional injury to the feelings of fiddles. Some criminals in the name of religious mafia, like Ben Laden and al-Zawahiri, declare religious war on the western world as well as eastern infidels world, in the name of Jihad. They perfected a mafia operation to destroy the world trade center. Then every state was put on guard to watch out for its innocent citizens threatened by Ben Laden and his murderous gang.
In the name of God atrocities were and still are performed at every state level. A Laden world phobia spread out at the turn of the century. States with all their might took this for a pretext to consolidate their hold over their societies and superpowers, especially the United states spread its control widely and effectively across the world today.
As a consequence for September 11th, the world is turned now into religious camps and is divided up according to religious fervor. The geographical map of today is divided into Christian world, Islamic world, Hindus world, Buddhist world, Jewish world.
It is divided up into great huge classification namely into the world of belief and the world of disbelief preserving of course the agitated enmity and hatred between world religions.
Is there no place for God in this world. His place is central for it is according to belief in God that the world is divided up and it is according to what belief the world is further divided up. Internal policies take into consideration religious feelings and religious movements. International relationships are nearly found on religious reactions and actions nowadays and external policies of world societies like the United Nations, Nato and Asean.
World states with their intelligence magnify the problem of terrorism and brings it to the fore as their horse battle, to dominate and control. Terrorism, whether in the name of religion or nationalism, can be dealt with effectively by specific search and elimination. It does not have to be taken to a state level.
But states, whether small, big or super-powers take the pretext to exaggerate the problem to spread their dominance and preoccupy word societies with fear in order to control and dominate. A little dirty cockroach like Ben Laden and his criminal mafia could have been localized and killed, and Afghanistan as well as Iraq would have been saved from the massacre of young children sent to their death by their superiors whether Americans or Arabs or Afghanis or Pakistanis.
But man is evil and unless there is a moral code to control man’s evil humans will always suffer and property will be lost.
